Am I crazy?

Whew...I did it. It's done. I registered for my 2nd Half Marathon AND I treated myself this year and made reservations at the hotel right outside from the start line. I am really excited about running this year. Last year I was a newbie, this year....well, still feel like a newbie but getting better. HA! I really want to better my time this year. Last year, my time was bad but hey, we stopped and danced with the bands, hugged family members, ate oranges & M and M's and stopped at Valero to pee. HA! We were all having a great time and we just wanted to say we finished! Well, I still want to say I finished but with a better time than last year. Who would have ever thought I would ever be a runner. Well I am. My name is Heather and I am a runner. Boy, that feels good.

Now, I am trying to get my honey to run with me...we'll see.

WAY TO GO! If my feet didn't hurt I would run with you. NOT. You know how competitive Troy is with sports! He would beat you! But, I think that is a great idea. He should join you though, that would be a great thing to do together. I can see 2 other little stragglers behind you in a few years. And that would not be me. Maybe a scooter race? Go read my blog.

I wish I had the energy and desire to prepare and run in a marathon. I am so very proud of you and I have nothing but love for you. I wish I could be there, because I know you are going to better your time. Just keep a good pace going and put your mind somewhere else. Sing Christian songs, it always helps me. Remember the YouTube I showed you about Rick and Dick Hoyght (I dont know how to spell it). Just remember his determination and willingness to succeed. I love you!! -Bubs

Hey, I am proud of you too. I tell people all the time about you running in the marathon. No one in our family every tried that. I know I could not have done it when I was your age. Anyway, run or not, you are still tops in my book. Love you-----Nana
